Coucou, I’m Joanne

In 2018, me and my mari Denis set up home in Espinas, a little village full of life between Montauban, Toulouse and Albi. It didn’t take me long to I fall in love with the local wines - biodynamic and natural wines crafted from rare and ancient grape varieties by brilliant producers.

Their passion was contagious. They sent me on a trip, a sort of Southwest wine version of the Arabian nights. Each one had a story to tell that led me to another…

Another another grape variety, another terroir, another way of caring for the vines, of seeing the vineyard and nurturing their sensibility in relation to wine.

I was captivated and compelled, irresistibly drawn by the taste of the unknown. I visited vineyards near and far, went to wine fairs, sniffed and sipped, watched and wondered and read voraciously - and I shared my new found passion with anyone that would listen (special thanks go to Denis for his unrivalled patience).

In 2023, after passing my international wine exams, I opened this little wine shop in a stable beneath our house and started to host tastings, because there’s so much to discover right here, on our doorstep.
