Tasting With My Mother

  • Joanne Dans Le VIn Le bourg Espinas, 82160, France France (map)

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand? Petit Chablis? Pinot Grigio Blush? What do you find in your glass when you get to England? And what do you pour when your family and friends visit you here?

This spring tasting is to honour and support my mother’s first full experience in my “Cellarful of the Southwest”. She’s called Barbara and she’s always curious about wine, about anything crafted locally for that matter - but she rarely leaves her comfort zone for long. So, I’ve set myself a challenge to make the unfamiliar her new familiar – be it a wine colour, a wine style or a grape variety.

To keep it simple, I’m designing this tasting around palates partial to bottles you can drink straight from the fridge paired with nothing but fine crisps, a creamy cheese board or crispy fried squid.

We will be blind tasting and playing interesting little wine games to give full expression to all your perceptions and sensations. Join us for a glass of welcome fizz, taste 4 wines and select your stars for the 2025 holiday season.
