About the winemaker
In 2023, Samuel Baylet opened a winery in a converted log store high on a hill in Saint Antonin Noble Val, with magnificent views onto the Roc d’Anglars. After retraining as a vineyard worker, Samuel joined Domaine de Brin where he worked both in the vineyard and the cellar for 3 years working before setting up on his own. Now he’s crafting speciality wines in the spirit of a microbrewery and creating an amazing setting to enjoy them. Samuel works with local organically-grown grapes, hand-harvested on his friends’ estates nearby. The grapes are fermented by indigenous yeasts and he adds very little or no sulfites. Follow this guy: one day he hopes to plant his own vines on site, right to his house: “ I love the work of a grower, but for the moment I’m proud to say I’m an artisanal winemaker: the adventure of La Petite Foulée has only just begun!”
